Anyone who likes riding ATV,s or Sleds in the Nordegg area should be aware of the attempt to get the area reclassified as a Wildland Park. We dont have many details yet but I'm sure it will severely restrict ATV,s snowmobiles and random camping. There is a meeting on Wednesday April 27 at 7:30 in the Nordegg Community hall and we are trying to get enough support to stop this or at least limit it. If Wildland Park status for Nordegg isnt in your best intrest I would hope to see you wednesday.

Count me in as I sent out the call to locals in our area that wish to ride out with me for this.

Worth while keeping open since its a nice area to ride with awesome views for all to share.

Thanks for the heads up bro.

The 30 year old mandates, yes.

Surely they would of lost it in the offices of mass confusion. But then again the sky could be falling on this chicken little show.

2 broken poo axles crossed in hopes it's not to drastic an over haul.

Well call in sick or drunk to the boss at work and go

Lol, an official presence is what is needed! As representing 50,000 members, not one individual. Amazing what an organization can do with 50,000 voices, and who will sit up with attention while

Official representation is required

Great idea if it can be accomplished.
If there would have been more notice from the Govt representation instead of trying to slide this through with minimal and hush hush notice one could have even organized recreational representation from the manufacturers side also.

This is an issue that needs to be dealt with and all recreational users need to be heard. Crappy part is how they conveniently timed the meeting to coincide where most folks can't make it.

That's the thing Dale. They don't give people notice. Just a few days and think they will get away with it

yes 2-2.5 hrs from red deer, have to be going by 4 pm. most work till 4:30-5 and thus can't make it out there, original time at 7:30 was dooable. almost seems like this is being setup for very little public attendance, so an agenda can be rammed through.

this is set up to stop quadding, bikes, atv/SxS"s, and Sleds from riding west of forest trunk road.

at this time we only have small area's to ride in, very small. there is not much to take away, what with trail closures, etc.

I can only speak or the red deer suds buds, group of 40 +members.
