Try moving to BC. ICBC is friggin brutal. Just paid 650 for bare minimum coverage for 8 months on my 2005 DR650. What a joke.

Its a good thing there are no supporting vendors on here that sell insurance. You would get chastised for shopping around!

I pay 430 pl pd fire and theft ................. 54 bucks on the sled for the same thing lol. And I get a special rate I'm told. She did tell me the bike fell into a special category, not sure if it was the style or what. By comparison my boat which is waaaaaay more money is only 700 bucks a year. Go figure.

I insure my V-Star 1300 with legend insurance. It is half what it was through nordic insurance. You have to have an apraisal though, but it is gauranteed appraisal value for 5 years. That is full coverage as well. Was cheaper to insure my bike & pay for appraisal, than to just insure with half the coverage with nordic.

Check out Blue Circle Insurance, they ride, and may not give you the cheapest quote, but what they focus on is the best coverage, do you pay the cheapest mechanic you can find? And remember, we are all paying for people to live in a floodplain, and get new houses when surprise-surprise, the water goes up and wrecks their houses. Insurance companies make up their money anywhere they can.

Well here's another story of getting bent over by private insurance. 2 crf250r quoted $2000 per year for fire and theft and 1 mill 3rd party liability from several companies.

$513 for full coverage on a 2013 FLHX (street glide). Replacement value of $23000, leather replacement up to $1000 if in accident. Only had bike insurance in Alberta for 2 years. (Had insurance in B.C. and Newfoundland but never bothered to tell insurance agency to try and find that). The bike is insured with Legends. I have 2 sleds, 2 quads, a car, a truck, a Victory Vegas (for sale btw), a sled trailer, a travel trailer and my house insured with Allstate and they wanted $1250 for the Harley.

Home for Chrome - Dalton Timmins. I pay $43/month for an 09 FXDF with complete coverage except for replacement cost. I was told after 5 years that coverage cannot be included.
Thought about Legends because their coverage would have been closer to $300/yr. One of their conditions is that the bike cannot be used for daily commuting. I like riding to work when the damn weather gets warm enough to ride.
