everybody wants the screaming eagle or at least a six speed. 96 inch is tough enough to sell used, let alone a 5 spd bagger with an 88.

ya but 6th gear is not even worthwhile imo, unless ya like cruising at 160 (like me)

My 88 keeps up to the 96 no prob, no questions asked...BUT unless it has an after market engine a Harley is a slug regardless unfortunately. S&S 120" for me this winter

with of course chain drive etc..

Ya man i agree. I have rode a number of different 5 and 6 speed bikes with 88's, 96's and 103's and have never really seen how the 6 is much better than a 5. Could be just my riding style being used to cruising with a 5 speed though
