OK, I'm a leather chaps guy, not cause they might look cool but because I've been down twice in my life and road rash really hurts, especially picking out the rocks, not to mention the broken bones.....
As an alternative to chaps I've been looking at Kevlar lined jeans to wear around the city and am wondering if any of the members have any experience with them.
I'm looking at Draggin Jeans Draggin' Jeans and Joe Rocket

Any insight (fit, comfort, where you bought) would be greatly appreciated.
Thx

I've been wearing the Bohn armour under pants. I was looking at the kevlar jeans but don't like the cuts and style. That and they are expensive as all heck, and I would need a few pairs to get me through the week. So far, these Bohn pants feel good, the protection doesnt feel like it will shift, but I can't say I've been down in em, so I can't say for sure.

Armored protection under your jeans.

I had seen some bulk kevlar jeans offers when I was looking, you would be ordering right from the manufacturer. Might be worth it if you could get a big enough order together, but seems sketchy at the same time.

I ordered a set of Hood Kevlar jeans from Great Britain, they were quite expensive but have more protection than any other brands I could find. I was also able to get a 38" inseam that was not available from other companies, they have Kevlar lining all around to below the knees and have Velcro strips to hold hip and knee armour in place. Lucky to have not tried them out yet, but feel like they would hold up well in a crash.

Larry has kevlar jeans that he wears on his bike. He hasn't laid his bike over to see if they really work or not but he is happy with them so far.

I have a few sets at work!! Let me check it out tomorrow and I'll post up some prices. I'll see if I can swing a snow and mud special. I'll be traveling towards Alberta in a couple of weeks for the Jamboree!

I picked up a pair of Teknic Violator Kevlar Jeans, they fit well and look good. I bought them at GW Cycle here in Calgary, retail $190 and walked out the door at $157.
