Just wondering what people are paying for tires? I just got a new dunlop put on the front of my bike and am wondering if I could have gotten a better deal had I have gone for a ride elsewhere. Paid 375$ for a D401 19" with a tube and rim strip, installed.

Almost hate to show you this now but at least you know for next time Dunlop D401 Harley Davidson Front Tire - Canada's Motorcycle

Wow, so they did me with a sandpaper condom. Lovely.
Tire price was 206, tube was 35, strip was 5, and the rest was labour. Oh right, 5 for enviro fee. 76 for the install. And tax.

I had heard some bad things about the shop in town, looks like they weren't lying. I'm going to find a new place to get rubber mounted, as my back tire needs replacement sooner rather than later.

Depends on tire you want, my Bridgestone Battleaxe are about $400 and only last about 6000KM.

To be fair $140 online vs $206 dealer cost is pretty normal regardless where you go. Plus if you bring your own tire in to get installed they ding you more on labour than if you buy from them.

I paid 185.00 Front and 230.00 rear installed for Avon Cobra's . HD Dunlops are crap IMO.

I run Pirelli Night Dragons on my Heritage Softail Classic - good traction in all conditions, wear well (most riding is two up, have 15,000 kms on them with about 30% left), and about 1/2 price of the Dunlops.

Before purchasing tires or rims, i always used to consult the same with the nearest tire dealer or good tire installer because they knows what works and what fits best because they used to deal with this kind of issues on daily basis.
