so, looking for information & recommendations to select type and source for a used sidecar to bolt onto our 2009 C50 cruiser. Any input would be greatly appreciated!
we know it will be a custom fit - we're ready for the challenge :)
Anyone who has or knows of someone who has a sidecar for sale - please let us know

Thanks

sidecar search not producing any decent results in this part of Canuck world, ..... unfortunately. may have to consider a run down to Airdrie next year if nothing else surfaces.

found a silver/black Velorex locally. unloaded into garage today. will soon start to size up for adapter fittings (4), led lighting conversion, needs new tire & tube, check bearings, etc .....
then all 3 of us can ride together again

The Velorex was attached to a '82 Goldwing, and no universal hardware pieces were available. had to breach a tack welded sleeve on sidecar frame from that original fitting then relied on aftermarket tangs, fittings, and brackets to custom fit C50 frame. resulting in a 5 point contact and now it seems a great success. the assistance of a few others who also contributed their observations & suggestions were a great asset. the most crucial fit-up was during initial stage, when aligning sidecar tire to bike frame tires, and preloading suspension of both for correct vertical align. then vertical alignment was also a constant maintenance concern when tweaking horizontal align. several hardware supply companies were regularly visited and yet others, which were not well versed in their product, were not frequented! this rig setup was quite the challenge & worth every cuss-word, cut and bruise. then the discreet wiring was also a concern that required due diligence. took several test runs and variety of roadways and ballast loads to tweak the overall handling. now, regardless the sidecar load or roadway condition/ crosswinds, it feels very relaxing to handle and comfortable riding in sidecar.
