My BIL's boss and his friends set up a 4 day trip through BC and were kind enough to invite me along for my first long haul trip. Things were going well until they had to cancel at the last minute for personal reasons. My BIL and I figured the reservations are all made, we might as well do the run ourselves.
Our first day was from Nisku to Revy, with fuel stops in Rocky, Sask. Crossing, and Golden.

Second day was one for the books. Super weather, great roads. From Revy to Cranbrook with gas stops in New Denver and Wynndel. Took hwy 31a from New Denver to Kaslo. That was an amazing road. If you haven't done it, plan on doing it. From Wyndndel, we took a short cut on a road called Lakeview Arrow Creek Rd and bypassed Creston, then on to Cranbrook.

Our third dat took us from Cranbrook through the Crowsnest finishing in Drumheller with gas stops in Coleman and Vulcan and rest stop in Fernie. It was the coolest day of the trip when we crossed into AB. We saw our first bit of rain on hwy 22. Not even rain, more like a mist. Gave me a chance to try on my new rain gear I got on my birthday!

The rained hard during the night in Drumheller, we weren't sure what we were in for in the morning. It turned out to be a very sunny, but a bit chilly morning. One more gas stop in Camrose and we were home.
All in a bit over 1900km. The bully handled to roads well, very comfortable and enough umph to handle the hills and roads with me and luggage. All in all I am very pleased with her.

I see you stopped at Smitty's in Fernie. Lots of sledders go there met there for breakfast then head to the hills
