I did mine in 17. Did a hill start, he didn't care how I did it just that the bike didn't roll it stall. You have to "claim" your lane. If I remember correctly you drive in the left half of a right lane, right half of a left lane. You have to shoulder check even if you are switching from one half to the other of the lane you are in. For example if you are in right lane, left half to turn right you would near the intersection, shoulder check to get into right half to turn right at the intersection.
So basically if you are in the right lane you must be in the left wheel rut then if you switch to the left lane you only move over to the closest wheel rut in that lane...thanks for all the tips gonna book my test next days off

I got mine years ago, the “tester” drive in a car behind me, I rode my bike, I passed the test. She had no way to talk to me, she just told me where to go before hand.

Yup. That's how mine was for the road test. It included a skills test though. Drove down a paved alley and went up through the gears one way, and then down through the gears the other way. I also had to ride the bike in a tight circle and then weave through a bunch of cones. And finally I had to demonstrate my ability to break hard at a little higher speed.
