Is anyone planning on adding some mods or accessories to their bike over the winter months? I don't have much planned but found a good deal on some saddlebags and a new set of grips.

Waiting for the bike show....Jan 17-19 2020
I don't really need much for the Virago, going to be upgrading bikes in the spring. I am looking for all the upgrades I want in the 'new to me' machine. Most cruisers already seem to have the stuff I want. The Virago will be passed on to my wife to ride after she takes the MSC (Good deals on them at the show!).
I will be looking for a new helmet and boots for sure.

I started this thread in 2019, I should have them saddlebags installed this week! New grips and a nice loud horn to follow.

I was pumped to see a 'new thread' in this forum! Then I saw I posted in it in December 2019.
A lot has changed in my garage since then. Upgraded the Virago into a C50T, then bumped up into a C109RT.
I'm jealous of all the guys who have the room to keep the bikes in garages and able to work on them all winter. My BIL has been tweaking my sisters Shadow all winter. Added bar risers, dash bag, a tach), and added some extra turn signal indicators (bag covers the stock one) and now its new tires. Couldn't find white walls in the size (would have look really classic on this bike!) so just Black.

I can get you white walls. is rear tire 150/80-15 and front 120/90-17? think that's the common shadow tire. I also mount and balance. PM me if you want pricing.

I don't remember what the sizes were. He wanted to change the size, up I think to correct the speedo, and that's where he ran into availablity issues. One way or the other he had to settle for the Black wall. Anyway, that's the new boot in the photo ready to go.

Legend rear shocks and RT pro fork springs going in my 19 road glide. No more slowing for train tracks. Keep the laser jammer on and throttle twisted fully. 🤙

I got the ones with the remote res. Come with brackets that Should work with my detach tour pack doc they say. Can’t wait to ride it. I Had a few close calls due to high speeds/big bumps.
That said I ride like a criminal most days. Wide open always. 220 km a tank and instead of 400km a tank like when the wife’s on the back. Lol

Nice! My BIL has a C109R. Great bike.
My bags are on. Next little job is new grips. I had a pair of Kuryakyn ISO grips on my M90 before it broke. I really liked them so a nice black set will be going on the new bike.

Not much of a mod but I got my oil changed over the weekend. I did the final drive fluid as well. I really got to get myself a jack or a wide scissor lift so I can hold the bike level when servicing.

My BIL swears by the lifts after using his bosses!
