I'm looking for a new bike was thinking a used street glide or Electra glide but looked at a Voyager and I can get a new 2018 for less than the cost of a used Harley. Does anyone have one? Just wondering if any body has any thoughts on this bike.

Look at the new Yamaha as well. I had a 97 voyager years ago and sold it. Decent bike but out of date. Here is a pic of the Yamaha I’m talking about.

voyager or the vaquero? I have the vaquero(it's a bagger) and love it... Voyagers are quite a bit more than the vaquero, but they're very similar... Vaquero has same jammer with all the controls and good stereo, and has the side bags. voyager has the rear trunk and passenger seat, that's about it.

here's a good site I belong to, that has lots of info on voyager and vaquero's: http://vulcanbagger.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=57

Honda and Yamaha build quality bikes, can't go wrong with either one as long as you plan to keep it for a good number of years. I'd suggest looking at gently used models, let someone else take the big hit in depreciation. not only are they cheaper to buy new, but also way less resale value compared to an HD.

Yea looking at the Voyager the wife likes to come some time and the seat on the Vacaro wouldn't cut it but it is basically the same bike with more stuff. I looked at the Yamaha's as I have had many Yamaha's but the price was over $10,000 more than the Kawasaki (on a budget trying to keep it in low 20,000 ) and I know nothing holds its value like a Harley but will probably have this bike a long time so retail is not a big deal. This is probably the last bike I will buy and hope to do some touring after I retire in a couple of years. I will probably look at a couple of used Harley's but for the price of the Kawi I am looking at a 6 or 7 year old bike with 30,000 to 50,000 kms. Right now I have a 2003 Nomad and it has been a good bike but would like to have a newer bike and paid off before I retire.
