I have a 2009 Suzuki M90. I'd like to flush the cooling system this spring and replace the coolant with some fresh stuff. I've had the bike for about 3 years and I'm not sure if it was ever done before. The manual calls for a coolant that is compatible with a aluminum cooling system. The current coolant in the bike is green in color so I just assumed that it was standard engine coolant and would mix up a fresh batch of Prestone and be good. However, after having a look at the Prestone website they say nothing about their standard green coolant being compatible with aluminum systems. The orange Dex-Cool coolant does however state that it is compatible with vehicles with aluminum systems. Which of these two would be recommended in my M90?

I've also considered using a newer coolant product like Engine Ice but at almost 3L of coolant required even I can't justify the cost!

What does everyone else use and/or recommend?

Good to know. I do have a jug of the Dex-Cool sitting in the garage unused from when I had a GM. Would it work or should I just quit being cheap and go buy some of the standard stuff?

Why do people try to cheap out when they are fixing their toys m90 must be worth a few bucks so buy 3 jugs for 50.00 why risk damage to the engine

That 50/50 premix on the shelf is convenient but what a ripoff! Full strength glycol is almost the same price, then go get some distilled water and mix it yourself.
