I just thought I should post the sled was recovered. No miles on it and not parted out a year later. Got lucky on this one. The trailer is still MIA however.

They got off way too easy, The girl was released and the guy if I remember what the police said got time served for his time in remand. We tried to go after restitution on them for the impound fees and replacement parts, the judge however dismissed that claim.

Here is a copy of a news story when they found it.

On Saturday November 24th, 2012. Edmonton RCMP Auto Theft unit with the assistance of the Edmonton Police Services and the Morinville RCMP conducted a search warrant at a rural property North East of Edmonton, Alberta.
The recovered stolen property included a John Deere 7730 tractor, a motorcycle and a snowmobile which is in total value in excess of $100 000.00. Charged on this matter are Cody Buck SUGG, 31-years old and Amy Rae GOODMAN, 26-years old female from the Edmonton area. Both individuals are charged with:

  • possession of stolen property;
  • fraudulent concealment; and
  • possession for the purpose of trafficking in stolen property as well as 4 additional Criminal Code charges.

Both SUGG & GOODMAN are to appear in Edmonton Provincial Court this week.

If you have any information about this crime or any other crime you may call your local RCMP Detachment. If you wish to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477; by internet at ; by SMS (check your local Crime Stoppers [www.crimestoppers.ab.ca] for instructions). You do not have to reveal your identity to Crime Stoppers.

Last night I had to go pick up my old truck that I lent my mom because someone reported it being parked on the street where she lives. Two police officers came and were going to tow it.

I lent it to her because someone tried to steal her car (twice) and wrecked the steering column and it was getting fixed. The cops didn't go investigate that either time she reported it.

Get your ffffing priorities straight RCMP!

Sent from a seriously frustrated, taxpaying, charitable, volunteering, law abiding Canadian citizens phone.

Here is one for you. My neighbor got his truck stolen. It was stripped of tools and left in a community in Calgary. the truck was ticked for being a commercial truck in a residential area.... IT WAS STOLEN AND THEY TICKETED IT FOR A PARKING VIOLATION....... Glad to hear you got your sled back.

So this jack off is in the news again today, caught with more stolen sleds, trailers, truck, etc. Like WTF? Makes no sense why these Douche bags get a slap on the wrist.

well hopefully they get more than just a slap on the wrist this time. as far as I am concerned I would like to see them loose a limb for each offence. after a couple times its gonna get a lot harder for them to steal when they have no hands
