Laine should have been the first overall pick and he is going to make sure everyone knows it.

Edmonton is a power forward RW and a another top 4 Defender away from being a contender. Happy to see their success thus far but there is a lot of season left. The success cannot be because of one player. Take McDavid out of the line up and the team strength is questionable.

I wish we had gotten so lucky as to have Laine. He's going to be very very good for a very long time.

I agree with you Re: McDavid

McDavid is still a young guy in a men's league. Once he gets over the idea of being the Captain and that the captain needs to be a team first player he will realize he needs to sometimes be greedy to have team success.

And leave RNH right there. He isn't scoring a lot but he is being put up against the opposing teams best lines every night and isn't costing the team.

Ebs, well since his rookie season I haven't been a fan. A few games on the second line or a game on the bench might be the ticket. But he has never been a guy to back check with a lot of effort and he won't last long on this roster.

It will all be good.... Oilers have outshot the opponents in a big way in the last 3 games, but were on the losing end of the score. Ran into 3 abnormally hot goalies lately, and that is it.... Oil should get back into goal mode tonite :)

Streaky season. They look great at times and nervous at others. Nurse has done better, a big change in Defence with Russell back. Benning has been a great replacement as well. Not sure if I could pick between Davidson or Benning when the time comes.

Lucic is still over achieving. The play dies on his stick so many times. He shouldn't try and be a play marker. Just go to the net.

As much as I think Hendricks is a stabilizing guy on the 4th line he needs to find a way to play with Pitlick and now Drake.

Good to see the 3rd line rolling but Kassian is better suited on the 4th line with his current play. He has the skills to move up and down the line up but isn't consistent enough.

Talbot has been outstanding.

That's the curse of a young team ... Inconsistencies .
But , I see a lot of upside ...

Also feel that whoever plays with Mcd looks slow ....I think , that player has to learn just to go to the net and be ready ...!
Kinda like lucic did last night .
I think we have a playoff team & soon a contender with a few moves to be made yet .
