Need to build the team from the goalie out....We seem to be building the opposite way. Offense doesn't win championships anymore like it did in the 80s

They've been trying to do this for close to a decade. Heap on scoring and pay no attention to goaltending or defense.

Agree to this. When the oilers ran up to the cup final in 05-06 they did on goal tending, defence and the scoring up front came from non star forwards. To put things into perspective there highest point guy was Hemsky that year and that was with only 70 something points.

Oilers could have a prime Pat Roy in nets and he’ll still have terrible numbers with all the odd man rushes and grade A chances from the slot. It’s wild how management can’t see this.

We need to do a big, unpopular trade. We need to unload nurse as well but we are handcuffed there.
Get rid of McDavid or Draisital...or Nuge. Buy 2 actual defenseman and your mid grade goalie with me able to keep up.

they look better but unfortunately with out some changes in goal and or defence we'll just keep slipping back. better yet we need to do something behind the bench in regards to goal tending and defence coaching.
