Just wanted to make a post about an alternative to the spendy polaris fuel filter for the dragons, rmk's, and possibly pro rmk? The stock filter is $140 Or something like that, which is overpriced in my Opinion. I've read about conversions that people have done to make a napa fuel filter work, but with an airbox application their is minimal room for the larger napa filter. So I did a search and came across this fuel filter from Royal distributing, for $37 I figured that it was worth a try. I picked up a set of fuel line disconnects from napa, they worked fine as they slide down the hose to release the quick connects on both ends. It took me, maybe half an hour to remove the old filter, as the quick connects were giving me a bit of grief. The new filter fit perfect, same length and was noticeably less restricted than the Original one with 2300 miles. The new filter hose is a bit harder, so ensuring that it fits proper is important so that it doesn't kink, other than that it is perfect. I have one ride on it and so far so
Good. I would recommend it for anyone wanting to change their filter on their dragon, rmk, and I am not sure if the pro rmk uses the same one but I am sure if not the same it is similar.
Here's the link for it on the Royal distributing page.
