In need of a new pair of boots this season. Curious as to what people are using for boots? What brand...keep feet dry...comforbility? Pros...cons? I used to just use snowboard boots and used my dads Klim boots last season but they are a couple years old. Thanks

I love my hmk's warm dry and soft enough that I have no problem driving in them!!

Motorfist Stomper boots are unreal! I love them as a riding boot because they are warm, waterproof, breathable.. and uber comfortable...

The other plus side to these boots, is they are comfortable and warm enough to wear as an everyday boot. I spent 10 to 11 hours on my feet, working at a dealership. Up and down stairs, inside and outside walking in slush, snow, then back into the warm temp of the shop. Always completely comfortable.
My kids wear their stompers not only riding, but as their winter boot as well. They rock socks as a snowshoeing boot and a hunting boot too.

This is a bonus, but can also be a potential life saver in the event you had to walk for a long distance due to a machine breakdown or other unfortunate event.

The MUST do with these boots is to wear the appropriate socks. Wicking socks, never cotton. I manipulate the insulation factor of my boots with the socks.. a thicker density of wicking sock (redline sock) for super cold days, or days where we are just farting around in the snow, and a thinner density (motorfist sock) for riding.

This year looks to be even better for the Motorfist boot line, Stomper 2.0 looks tougher.. I'm wearing the contessa boot (for women) and there is a Redline boot that is stiffer with more insulation than the Stomper. The Redline is good for peeps with poor circulation, riding in a colder climate, or trail riding, trapping, icefishing kind of application.

I quite often find myself in challenging situations.. Here I was inspecting a creek with my feet... (totally not planned) the result was dry feet and the rest of the day spend loving life.

All of the boots nowadays are great. Ive had them all. I think the HMKs are my favorite so far. Super light, warm but not hot, kept my feet dry, more supportive than my stompers, and the huge kicker is the boa system. It is SO nice. Takes 5 seconds to do your boots up. Ive heard good things about the new KLIMs too. Spent a season in a pair of cheap sport mart snowboard boots and those were great too. They just didnt last that long, but I think I only paid 40 bucks for them.

Several of us have KLIM and they are great boots. Warm, comfortable and dry. Very good at gripping on the running boards.

Klim Adrenaline for me.
Narrow (lots of boots are big and wide which is not good for polaris running boards)
Light weight
Feet are never cold.

My foot went thru the ice over a creek last year at the beginning of the day. My boot was completely filled with water. Dumped the water out, rode to the cabin to change my socks and rode the rest of the day. It was squishy but wasn't cold at all.

Bought the Klim adrenaline boots at the sled show. They seemed very comfortable , hopefully they'll last a long time

The best boot I've had by far! 3 years now and going strong.

People complain that you can't drive in them; I've had no problem.
People complain that they are cold; with the proper socks, I've had no problem.
People complain that they don't stand up to the boards and the ice clearing; with the proper boards there is no problem.
Walking in them; if you wear them enough you get used to them and besides with a good sled and your buddy system, one should never have to walk, IMHO.

Once again, a great boot!

I bought Stompers last year, and really like them. I used them a few times to shovel snow, it helps to break them in. I have poor circulation, due to smoking

But my feet have never been cold, and always dry. With or without socks. Only complaint is the laces, use to use snowboard boots and really like the quick buckles.

Maybe you should give up smoking. Then you could wear just rubber boots with the better circulation you will have. Just a idea

I bought the Red lines (The ones with the buckles). I was going to buy the stompers but they were too narrow for me. The Red Lines were much wider and very comfortable. I was a bit hesitant about he buckles but The Motorfist rep said they were using the same buckles as Motor Bike boots which stand up very well. And IF I had a problem the buckles can be purchased and are replicable.

I have had the klims and they were great, I have been wearing motorfist stompers the last 2 yrs and love them and wouldn't wear anything but them.

Used my Stomper 2's for the first time yesterday. First ever pair of true snowmobile boots I have owned. Very impressed with them.

Due to some surgery and meds, I tend to feel the cold a bit more now but my feet were warm and more importantly, dry all day. I have a wide, flat foot and they fit me fine. Bought same size as my shoe size. Great support, easy to walk in and seem tough.

If these boots are a reflection of Motorfist's gear quality, I can see myself in more of their gear shortly as I need new gloves and snowmobile pants.
