Just wanted to write a quick review on my recent experience with the C3 belt drive on a 15 pro.
In stock form the Polaris belt drive was ok at best, with a hard to install, expensive belt. Without a tensioner, I would blow quick drive belts a few times a year.
So, I installed a C3 belt drive. With gearing options, cheap belts, and a tensioner I thought I had it figured out.
I found that the tensioner would make the belt ride about 1/8 of an inch off the edge of the drive pulleys. I tried shimming, but had not luck. Once installed, I intentionally tried to blow the belt. It ran great.
However, after 2 rides, I spun the lower Pulley's splines off. Leaving me with getting a tow down the hill.
The steel pulleys in stock form seem better, and stronger.
Anyway, nothing another 450$ can't fix right?
Anyone have a 58 tooth lower Pulley for sale?
Not sure if C3 is the way to go after all.

The new owners of specialty sleds bought them out. Ive seen them on some forums and they seem eager so it wouldnt hurt to contact them.

I'd give them a call. I personally have 3 C3 belt drives on sleds ranging from 150 horsepower (2013 Pro RMK 660) a Linderman built 925 (approx 190 horsepower?) and a 285hp 1100 4 stroke turbo. 1700 miles (not km) on the turbo belt and it still looks like new, none of them have had issues with pulleys, tensioners, or belts. I will note that these were purchased when Kevin was still running things out of Sicamous...

Sorry for not being on here lately. Let us know how it goes good or bad. Its been very busy since the purchase of C3 so online presence has been weak.

We had a couple gears do what you described. No rhyme or reason but we suspect a poor batch of metal from previous ownership. Those gears are machined locally now. We have had a few old ones from before the sale fail as well that we warrantied. We are all over Q/C so your new gear should be good.
