Just a heads up. I bought a Princess Auto snowmobile lift . A very good lift for what i needed, BUT IT WILL OVER EXTEND WHEN LIFTING. the screw has no stop causing the sled to drop forward when it unscrews hitting the floor . I was lucky there was room for the sled not to pin me under it or against the wall. :nono: Just a heads up

Put mine together last weekend and jack seems to stop before fully extended. Maybe you got a faulty one. Good to give people the heads up!

i have 2 of them and they have a stop but you can go past it if you use a impact drill found out when i was putting one together. just put a thread locking nut on the end, i have never raised my sleds that high to go past the end

I had this happen to me a couple days ago, when your cranking it up, stop cranking when it gets a little more resistance then the normal weight of the sled. The only way to put it back together is screw the greased up shaft back down, and then push it back up through, then bolt on the end hex nut again. guy can put a limiter strap on it so it can't extend farther then the shaft can go.

Happened to me the other day too. I've had the lift for 3 years and its always stopped till then. I'm making a couple stops for it now.

UPDATE: Princess auto contacted me and after sending them pictures they are replacing my lift. I was only looking to advise them of this issue not looking for a free bee. My lift was 2 years old and no questions asked. Impressed with there values for personal safety.

I have a bunch of these lifts and all work properly.
All mine have stops on them.
