You could try Linde or Acklands or somewhere like that, ABS is nitrogen right? If it's compressed air like my BCA I just get it filled at Astec

Locate your nearest dealer, We fill the canisters in house for many reasons, one we fill them much higher 4500 psi, two these bottles should take 30 minted to fill no matter nitrogen or oxygen, since you must freeze the bottle first and fill once or fill the bottle and let it cool down then top off, we prefer to do this at abs since it is a safety device and a guy at a paint ball shop or might not care about you in an avy! For the exchange it is as fast as they can ring in your total, $40.00 for an exchanged canister/handle. I have blown off over 600 abs bags and never had one leak. If your rural and don't live near a dealer regarding air bag type it is always a good idea to have an extra canister/handle-abs or canister - bcd or snow pulse as if you accidentally set it off your not driving back to a shop to get it filled or exchanged, that means your now riding with out your bag working, with abs you can repack and put in a new canister in about 3 minutes as there are no o-rings to change. If you have several buddies with the same pack then you can have one extra between you, that way if you blow it off you are not without while you wait to exchange it either..

Where in Red Deer area can the bags get checked out.

You want to check the air-bags? The best way is to test your bag each year. This will ensure it is working properly and also reminds you how to set it off, sounds funny but how good are you going to be at pulling your air bag off if you have never fired it. It is not expensive to then get an exchanged handle and canister at a local dealer. If you are looking for a local dealer for ABS got to the web site ABS-Airbag.de ? ABS - Avalanche Airbag make sure you are on english north america at the top and look under local dealers...they are listed...might be a ski shop, snowboard shop, mountain shop or sled shop, either of them can deal with exchanging your canister.

PS you can also pull out your abs air bags at any time, this is done also if you come down and it is raining and your pack gets wet, pull out the air bags and hang it in the dry room, then fold them back up...

Are you saying that includes ABS refill and handle for only $20...?
Or is this just for BCA/Snowpulse systems?

I’m going to assume he meant BCA/Snowpulse. Last time I did my ABS it was exchange only because they are seal systems and have to be sent away to get refilled.

ABS uses a puncture system that is refilled at cartified locations, I believe the only location that refills is on the east coast. Have to ship em last I heard.

All ABS Canisters are refilled at factory with a special machine,, no one can refill an ABS except the proper machine to do it, at any store that carries ABS, you bring your canister and handle in for an exchange for a refilled one and new handle. cheers dave
