Not close enough to the Mountains, AB
Had 2 sleds on a half ton yesterday, not mine but a buddies. Once again didn't kill anyone, carry on.

If I lived locally (say within an hour from my riding areas) I wouldn’t ever bat an eye loading up 2 sleds on my 1/2 ton, because I’d hardly be on the road enough to put other people at risk or risk a ticket.

But travelling from AB or farther.. I’m not as ballsy

That's how I feel about it. Much different driving to stage than coming over Rogers Pass at night in a blizzard.

We actually got pulled over for speeding and cop didn't ask anything about overweight, over length (174 on a shortbox) or sled registration.

East of the Rockies and west of the rest.
I'm not going to go digging back through this monster of a thread. But aren't some of the Fords with a 6.6' box crew cab 4x4 good for 2700lbs cargo? You would probably be on the close but with an aluminum deck I would think it should be good.
