WOW, i cant believe it. here it is nearing the middle of may, my birthday just around the corner and im packing it in for the year. there is still plenty of good snow to be had out there with fresh stuff falling nearly once a week. thanks to all those who came about and to those who have travelled from great distance's to come and see what it is Smithers has to offer. I hope more of you will come again next year and spread the word. There is a big push here in the valley to get our hills more recognion as well as the town. We are try to become the sled mecca that we once were. There are talks of bring back the hill climb next year so it would be good to see some fresh face's and sleds around. Once again thanks for the support.

Ride safe and see you next year!!!

SWAT we are heading to Stewart on thursday but are stopping at Smithers to see about conditions there. All it would take is a bit of bad Stewart weather and mic.- onion here we come. Your area is great and we will return with more people next season. To all the people that think it is to far :p:p:p:p:p:p:p your loss its only 12 hours from Edmomton to Smithers for that distance it is the best area that I have found, Cooke City might be as good but its a lot farther and only one area. I have not rode Pemberton but I think its farther than Smithers our guide from Cooke was going to Pemberton the week after we rode Cooke.

There is still plenty of good riding left in the valley. I personaly would avoid the onion this time of year do to rocks but if you know any locals from the parking lot of the mic there are 3 other easy to access area's and if you don't mind packing fuel two other great spots too. Stewart is great this time of year as well, however the weather has been good all week so who know's what the weekend will bring.
Happy trails.
