We have 2 2010 600 Polaris sleds Bogs and Dies Electrical?

We recently purchased A 2010 600 Switchback with 10 miles and A 600 RMK with 90 miles (2nd season) and are having the exact same problem. The sleds will get about 10 miles and will being to bog down as If they were running on 1 cylinder Lose All power and and die. The Volts meter will hit rock bottom and lose all head lights and HUD... We thought at first it was bad fuel so we drained the tanks completely and filled up in another location. both sled were running at about 120 F Still having the same problem... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated We are on an Xmas get away and have no sleds

We drained the fuel out of the sleds and put fresh in from a different station. and put in isopropyl . after we did that we ran them and the same thing . The first tanks were extra foods premium fuel so we thought this might be it but we have purchased fuel from that station with no problems. the new fuel we put in was from a station where are are spending christmas. So as of the moment there is no joy in whoville cuz we cant ride

Definitely sounds electrical to me. You can try to adjust your TPS but that doesn't sound like your problem. It could be a bad stator or a ground somewhere, weird though how its happening to both your machines. You are probably going to have to get a shop manual and start going through your harness. Are you flagging any codes at all right now? Also where abouts are you on your sled trip, somebody might now of a guy who can give you hand and get you running again. Hope ya get her figured, I know whom much it sucks when you leave for a sled trip and end up sitting in the hotel while your buddies go ride.

Oh, just a thought. how did you get your sleds there, on a deck, no covers? Did this once and went through rain/sleet and it buggered up a tone of my electrical and took out my stator, filled it up through the timing inspection hole.

Well this sounds like the same problem many had with the 10's the problem is the voltage regulator. Engine shuts down because ecm see a signal of low voltage. be careful make sure you don't run them after this as they can start the wiring harness on fire or also damage the ecu. Get a new regulator for one and them swap it over to the other to make sure it is the same problem.. Have seen many of these and had read of many of these Hope this helps. Some go out quick others go out at 100miles some last alot longer. New Reg has same part number but is from a different supplier.

Had the same problem with my 2010 RMK 600. Voltage Regulators need to be replaced to the updated one. Sounds like yours are going low voltage which is good or your ECM would be cooked. Replaced mine in about 10 min and no problems or plug fouling since.

sounds electrical, bad stator, VR, or TPS out of adjustment. Funny that it happened to both units though.

I fought this issue with my 2006 600HO (carbed) and it turned out to be a stator.

friends 2010 800 did the same thing until he had the electrical updated. He also did some siliconing around the headlight and upgraded his air intake as snow was getting in and leaking into the airbox.

Yup, thats what is was>>> the voltage regulator ON BOTH wow how lucky are we ? Crazy how it happened to two sleds , same yr different mileages on them. Our dealership fixed em both up,now all we need is MORE SNOW !

On those sleds take out the junk champion plugs and put in NGK plugs. My 600 was super hard on plugs until I installed the NGK

Definatly the regulator. Polaris has a new style, all warranty, had 2 with this problem.
