I lifted 1 and it felt similiar to all of the other sleds. The one thing that caught my eye at the show was the awesome track on the Assault!. All I can say is wow!

I HAVE A FEW COMMENTS ON SOME OF YOUR OBSERVATIONS:
1) THE DOO 4 STROKE IS LIGHTER ON THE FRONT END THAN THE APEX.... STILL VERY HEAVY, BUT I COULDN'T LIFT THE FRON OF THE APEX. SO I SUSPECT THE DOO WILL BE QUITE A BIT LITER, AND THERE IS A LOT OF ROOM UNDER THE HOOD FOR TURBO WORK....ONLY COMES IN THE SHORT TRACK, BUT TUNNELS/TRACKS/SKIDS WILL BE REPLACED BY MOUNTAIN GUYS ANYWAY..... I'M SURE WE'LL BE SEEIN' THOSE DOO'S TURBO'D SOON.
2) THE CATS DEFINATELY ARE NOT LIGHTENED UP AS MUCH AS GLENGINE WAS BRAGGING, BUT THE CAT GUY DID SAY MAYBE SUMTHIN' NEW FOR NEXT YEAR AND ITS LITE?? HMMMMMM. NOT OVERLY IMPRESSED WITH THE CAT LINE THIS YEAR(JUST MY OPINION)
3) I FEEL POO HAS THE MOST IMPRESSIVE LINE-UP THIS YEAR, AND THE ASSAULT LOOKS EXCITING, BUT THE TRACK IS VERY THICK AND NOT MUCH OF A CLIMBING TRACK, BUT THE SLED IS DESIGNED FOR EXTREME RIDING, MEANING JUMPS, DROPS, BOONDOCKING,ETC.... CLIMBING IS STILL FOR THE RMK AND DRAGON.
4) DOO NEEDS A 1000 XP!!! AND GET RID OF THE WHITE ON THE BLUE/WHITE COLOR COMBOS -- MAKE IT ALL BLUE, OR BLUE/YELLOW, OR BLUE/BLACK!!!
5) YAMMY IS ON THE RIGHT TRACK WITH THE NYTRO
6) PRICES ARE DROPPING, BUT STILL NOWHERE NEAR THE U.S. PRICES!!!!!:nono:
ANYONE ELSE WITH OPINIONS???

I noticed the nytro still has that junk track on it, but poo and doo had my attention, and I agree the polaris lineup seems to be the most exciting and are cheeper than the doo, the thing I didn't like about the doo's were the blue panels that turned white when you bent them, and after poaking around the doo's I found that they were 2008 models not 2009 and It wasn't hard to miss when you looked the first thing I noticed was the challanger lite track on one of them, I asked the salesman about that and he said that the changes that were supposed to be made on the 2009 sled were not evident on these summits so I showed him the s/n and he laughed and said well i guess that explains why I didn't notice the changes the summits were built on 07/2007. I really liked the look of the black summit X and was disappointed that the 50th anniversary sled was not there, but I was told it was only a 154 and was almost the same price as a 163.

I have to agree with summitric's comments, the Cats did nothing for me this year. Polaris seem to be back in the sled market again and had some nice sleds at better pricing than Ski-doo.
I suspect Poo's will gain a bit of the market share back again this year.

Thanks SBR. Ya it was too funny. I lifted the back of the sled and move it aroung with ease. When I hear, "wow, its that light?", I reply, "NO,I'M THAT STRONG!!" :D So my friend when you see this pic, tell us who you are. And don't forget to get your parents to come to the camp-out. I know your mom wants to, then her and I can get hammered/drunk/pi**ed/ wasted/ toast/gonner..........:eek: PS.:cool:But I am that strong,
Nope no name SBR, just the kid who needs to work out.
