Hey guys I just bought a new 08 Apex and did a few mods. I added extensions to bring my track from a 136 to a 144 and put a 1 1/2 track. I adjusted the bar underneth to the Maximum. I am trying to get my sled to lift the skis high in the air and I am not having any luck.

Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated. I pulls hard but the skis will only come up about a foot. Can it be done with out adding a bunch more money?

Thanks in advance for all the help.

a turbo should do the trick...no seriously let out your straps and shorten your transfer rods, that made my mountian machine a little lighter on the front but I wasn't trying to impress anyone just lighten the front for hill climbing

Hey thanks but I am new and can you explain by let out the straps?
should be 2 limiter straps inside the front of the rear skid. Dunno about the yammis but skud ones are fastened with bolts. there are different sets of holes. adjust so they are looser than they came.(sumx54 can tell you which set of holes to use).'E' on the picture

Also remove the back stop blocks.... If your sled has them (RRSS = Rear,Rear scissor stops). Also as mentioned, Lengthen the front Limiter straps. With these adjustments the sled should give you the lift ya want.... Maybe more so ! :)

Same advice as everyone else, loosen the limiter straps and play around with the rear shock and springs

Taking the weight off of the skis will also GREATLY effect cornering, so lay off the throttle on the trails until you are used to it.

to lighten the whole sled you new to take each part off one by one and replace with SKI-DOO parts untill there are no yamaha parts left at all, when this is done your sled will handle awesome and with your new SKI-DOO motor you will have plenty of power to lift the skis as high as you want!!LOL!!
