quick question??

My polaris calls for full synthetic, and the dealer recommends mineral for my doo, and i would like to buy bulk just one type,

what are the pros and cons of both, and will I affect anything in my doo running the full synthetic?? i can't see it causing any problems, just looking for a second opinion

Bow cycle told me not to use mineral oil, they think that contributed to the early engine failures doesnt lubricate as well,
use synthetic on booth you cant go wrong

Powderchowder runs BRP mineral in his 06 rev from new and it has been trouble free for over 3000 hard miles. He just put new pistons in it and the old ones look new, not a mark on them. My 05 has been run on full BRP synthetic since new and those crapy rings lasted 3000 km (just put a set of RK tech's in) but the brp synthetic BURNS the eyes!!

8500km on my 02 summit and 4000 on my 06 on mineral oil and NO problems and no rebuilds but this year I'm trying Amsoil Interceptor. No reason, just to try it as it's supposed to be good and not to pricey.

I've been using BRP full synthetic and more recently Shell Advance full synthetic in my '04 for 4100 km (since new) and have not had any trouble at all. Just bought the '05 550 that my wife will ride and the guy had that had it used mineral but I think that I will switch to synthetic just because of the track record in my '04. :twocents:
