Is this a stupid idea? Turbo sled/drag racing question.

I am having these uncontrollable urges! I keep looking at the prices on the Nytro MTX in Montana and am very tempted to buy one. Here is my thought process but i have some questions.

I was thinking of buying one, riding it stock this season. Then this spring sell my turbocharged honda civic that i drag race and put that money towards a turbo kit for the nytro. I only drag race my car for fun at street legals so thats what i would do on the sled as well.

The problem is i know nothing about drag racing snowmobiles. To me it looks like they just put on a different track, ski's, and tweak the suspension settings. They must re gear and change the clutch weights to match the elevation as well. Do people even drag race the mountain sleds or just the bump sleds? Anyone have any sled drag racing contacts?

If i did setup the sled with the turbo, then i would in theory have a fun summer racing machine as well as a wicked winter toy.

Thoughts/comments are greatly appreciated, including ones where you think im an idiot for dreaming up this idea. Watching thunderstruck 6 doesnt help either:common001:

thanks

talk to Sledbunnyracing/Summitric, they raced for a few years, there are some sled racers out there who put tonnes of money into their machines, and other who run stock.

We Did Some Grass Drags... Never Did The Ashphalt(too Many Changes To Jump Back And Forth). The Grass Drags Was Pretty Basic, "run What Ya Brung" Attitudes, And We Picked Up Lots Of Little Tricks On The Way(suspension Settings, Lubricating The Sliders, Extra Wheels, Etc). You Quickly Pick Up Ideas From Other Sledders..... If I Had More Summer Weekends Available, Would Probably Still Be Dooin' It. Was A Ton O' Fun. We Also Did The Snow Drags A Lot. We'll Have To Get Together Over Beers, And We Could Chat On The Subject........ There Is A Complete Grass Drag Association(mostly Out Of Saskatchewan), But Several Of The Big Races Are Here In Alberta!!!! Sledbunny Might Have Some Links To Help You Out???
