Zacs Tracks Avy Course.

This course is only in our area once a year and I think the members of snowandmud should fill the empty spots before the sled show,because they will fill up.I registerd tonight as I have taken the online version twice but think it is important to do the classroom and field training and have been putting it off for way to long as most of us do.They have a package deal that includes the classroom,fieldtraining and membership to the local club for the year for just over two hundred dollars.This also includes teaching you how to properly use your beacon and information about being a club member and the benifits.There is a story about a guy who survived a avy last year on Zacs website,I encourage you to read it.I need someone to hang out with so please join up!It may save your life!

I just signed up for the course at Alberta Beach November 24th a couple of days ago and will be taking the field training on Dec 9th in Golden.

I signed up for the one in leduc,Valemount in Jan.

Is there going to be a ride after the course in Golden on Dec. 6, LOCOCOIN? I'd come then but I don't have a riding partner those days. Do you know where it will be held yet?

Chinook75 and myself are going to take the course that day. We will be travelling up there on Thursday Dec. 6, riding the 7,8 and taking the course on the 9th. I think Chinook75 said something about his buddy wanting to come up riding that weekend but wouldnt be taking the course. Perhaps PM him and maybe you can catch a ride/share a room with his friend.

I think it is being held in Quartz, I have never been there so i dont know the area.

There will be a Avy course in Innisfail on Oct 27/07. You do the one day classroom at Innisfail and book in your field course sometime this winter. The info is on Zacs Tracks web site.
