No impeller change was needed. I thought the engine was damaged cuz it was super hard to pull over. It felt like it was locked up with oil or fuel. I pulled the motor out to investigate. Turns out without a clutch on it, it does this. I like to learn the hard way.

In order to cause myself even more pain, one mistake led another. Out of curiosity, I took the little cover off near the bottom of the engine and oil started spilling out. Turns out the water pump shaft is in a oil bath. So now I have to put new oil in and I don’t know how much to fill it.

In addition to feeling dumb, at least I can now seal up the belly pan and make it all shiny.

I did disassemble all the steering assemblies and lubed the steering ball joints, replaced all the steering bushings. I can’t believe how tight the ball joints were. They was stiffy and sticky.

I also machined a hi-torque roller to replace the wimpy little plastic steering post bushing one and installed one where they didn’t have one. I hereby claim to have the most solidest Alpha steering of all Alphas.

I gotta go now. My engine needs to go back in! Bahahahaha the life of Kanedog!

Lets see the steering post tightness. I just got canada sled parts bushings but i still have a ton of steering slop rotational, not angular.

From what I see it’s just slop in the lower ball joint on the post. And then give in all the heim joints connections. Debating on going to lay down post. To get rid of as many connections as possible.
