Grabbed a pair of the 509 ignite kingpin today had a hard time this year keeping my goggles fog free has not been an issue many years prior. Brand new sets of 509 and Scott goggles but warm down low transition through big moisture days and I struggled. Hopefully these heated things work better. Anyone using them this year

My second season on them and they are good but still fog up in really wet weather. Best to leave them on all day and just carry a second battery.

What are you getting for battery life on the 509 ignite.. I tried them on the continuous on mode and only got about 5 hrs.. wish I could keep them on all day, might need a few spare batteries

reminder to not lose the USB wall adapter.. they are 9.2 volt and are very hard to find replacements..

I had the 509 X6 whiteout ignight goggles. Wire came out of the goggle the first day using. Lens was coming apart as well. These are the magnetic lens with a fan and heater. New for 2021. Total junk. Got my money back $340.00 waste of money

Then you got unlucky on that pair. Go buy another. They have been the best thing ever. M

None available of this type, I can get the cheaper ones, but will wait to see if they improve them, the represented said they had more than a few come back with the same issue already. My Oakley's have cord strain relivers which these needed it.

I used to refer to my standard 509s as Fogohnines, complete junk, but the Sinister Ignites I bought this year have been the best goggles I've ever had. Use on intermittent as needed during the day and on steady for the ride back to the truck.

My 509 X6 Ignite are great, just bought this year and love em. I wear a different pair up and down the trail. Use these for riding all day long in any conditions. Lens get foggy or iced up, do the 120 sec mode and clear, good to go. No longer need to be concerned about putting my helmet in the perfect spot on my sled or remove while getting unstuck. sounds like ron just got a faulty pair

As a professional goggle fogger, I absolutely love the 509 heated goggles. I found it was a pain to use the intermittent feature so I bought a second pair. Now I leave it on full time. I get about 4 to 4-1/2 hours on one charge, then I swap to the second set and all is good. Nothing worse than not being able to see or having to stop every few minutes to unfog the lense. Juat need to remember to recharge at night if your going multiple days.

This will be my 3rd season doing this...one of my best purchases in my opinion.

I have them, worked amazing the first season and then i broke the wire like rons photo showed. Need to be very careful with that. I replaced the lense and now half way through season 2 with no issues i am just more careful with them. You dont need to leave them on all day. I hit the 90 second clear mode every once in a while and it last all day and i am defogged. Truly changes your riding experience having the same set of fog free goggles on all day. Worth it IMO

You can get 2nd Battery's as well, much cheaper than a second entire set.
I did like how easy the lens I had was to replace, it was magnetic. And the set I had was also equipped with a fan. 509 has none of the replacement parts or does not have any of this particular type of goggles to replace mine with and they gave a refund. If I can find another I may. They worked great and did not live by there name "Fog O Nine" I did find all the loose wires in the frame very strange and delicate. My Oakley Inferno has very good cord strain relivers on both ends, which 509 has just a wire going in that can be easily broken.

Finding a second battery was hard...no one had any stock. Finding a deal on a second set was the alternative. Also, I had concerns on how the battery clips to the strap and was worried that after changing it many times, it would no longer hold in place properly. A second pair mean no fidgeting with that.

check out the oregon company https://abom.com/collections/heet-product
in always-on mode there's a sensor that detects humidity to cycle them on as needed which allows the battery to last all day (Abom Heet). no battery pack on the strap either so thata menas no wire issues.
looks like a better idea than 509's.
