Kanedog 2015-2019, thanks for the good times S&M!
There’s still a week left of sledding. Above 6000ft it hasn’t started melting yet. Everybody is happy in the sun!!! If you wanna sled one last time, reply here or Pm for free tour. Covid wise, I park away from group and out a piece of rubber **** on the snow. It’s very effective. One of my friends is Italian and he likes to get in your personal space, flail his arms and spit when telling a story. It’s like a cat and mouse game trying to maintain 6ft! Haha.

Next sled day is looking like Tuesday, June 2. It’ll prolly be the last day. Woohoo! C0D2D00D-67C4-47EE-B502-083666131BBC.jpeg

is that Brohm?
It’s just above Cirque lake aka little Callaghan. A couple of the guys haven’t been there in 20 years so they were all up in their glory days from the 90’s. Me included. Ooh, make that 25 years. Whoa, we old!

We did a straight shot as the crow flies from the ice cave up and over to the Pemberton ice fields and down to the Soo valley. I could feel your presence, I bet you are the only one to have been that route. We ran out of snow in the Soo 200 ft from the Valley floor and almost fell into the raging river. Everyone has smiles for miles! A few wildlife tracks across the Pemby ice fields.

We unloaded about 1/2km below the burnt down cabin. After the last switchback it was all snow, no rock. It was surprising but there was a lot dirt and rock at the end of the day. Lost a ton of snow. One guy brought up a 4 place with 4 sleds in it! I wouldn’t have believed it had I not saw it!
Above 6000ft there was no melting. It was smooth like it just snowed. A few avy’s from heated Rock, mostly north facing which was weird. Some 3” deep fresh snow avy’s on the hill facing the Pemby gas drop. I’d say in the next week it will be done so hopefully we will get one more sunny day. I’d say best day this year right in the sweet spot for this time of year.

Once had a group from Ontario June 8th phone me and wanted to go out . I told them I was done, they phoned back a couple more times so I relented drove to about 18km on the rutherford just before the last big corner at last cut block. Had 2 on the deck and 4 on my trailer had to punch through a foot of snow going up hill. Had a great day . I have done the soo loop a few times from different ways. Not many go back there.

Keep that Soo on the Down low....some great spots up there. One time punched Soo to Rutherford in a low season- nobody thought u could get on the ice cap anymore as u couldn’t get there up Rutherford. We were having a blast shredding the pow when some guys came sledding out of nowhere. We were all confused. They wanted to know how we got up there- we wanted to know how they got up there. Turns out they were just leaving there sleds on the icecap and heli’n up to them anytime it was sunny....0nly in whistler!
