LOL, no, its in my shop in Valemount, i might get a couple hours here and there every other weekend to tinker with it if im lucky
I promise you that sock filter will fix your problem. I personally am on sled 3 that has done it and fixed 3 of my friends. I still have not changed the little wix filter just cleaned the sock. Did my 15 last year in January. Hasn’t missed a beat since. It was eventually so bad that at half throttle or better it would just fall on its face. Let off comes back to life and then falls on its face again. It’s inside the black plastic housing on the pump so you have to get right in there.

Update, Switched the entire tank from another machine and still same issue. they are testing the stator again today, they pulled the flywheel and did a visual and all looked good but will see what the voltmeter is showing. I am hoping thats the problem because after that there is absolutely no other parts to test or check other than the Computer.
what about the capacitor on top of the oil tank? what is its purpose? i know they are to provide extra electricity for a short duration of time.....perhaps its required to fire the injectors and is shot?

thanks

jeez, I wonder if it might be a crank seal? sounds like the bottom end is the only thing you haven't investigated.

Did you change the white plastic manifold between reed cages? Or did you take it out and test it? Put a short piece of clean fuel line on pressure side of it and blow - and then on vacuum side and suck

Can't remember if you said you swapped coils or just wires. We had one 2015 XM act similar and solved it with coils.

Does it fall on its face all the time at 7000 RPM? I am having a similar issue as well but it does not happen every time. Just when you are at 6500 RPM for a long duration and slowly pull the throttle to get into that range. When you grab a fistfull it will run fine. When it happens it feels like hitting the kill switch or one cylinder cutting out. I've tried all the same things you have, stator tested fine. I'm leaning towards coils.

I hope you get to the bottom of it - curious to know what the culprit is

Omg I am going thru similar symptoms. Engine would cut out at full throttle, just a quick miss kinda thing but kept going. On a long climb I would get maybe two quick cutouts.

So far, I have done plugs, removed tank and drained it, fuel filter, fuel pump(and sock). The fuel pump did good for one day but the next ride I got a couple contouts with less than half a tank.

I’m a gonna check the stator next. Following this is great.

Fyi-I removed the starter ring and lowered gear ratio(less load on motor).
. The sled would cutout between 6500-8000rpm. It was gaining rpms too fast and the computer would cut the engine momentarily. I re-installed the starter ring gear and the issue below 8000rpm went away. Drunk and stoned, hope that made sense. Gotta lay down now. You got this!

Check the wires at the connector for the injectors, my XM was having issues and started running on one cylinder.. after checking everything it turned out to be the zip tie that they put on to fold the wire over ate thru and shorted the 2 wires out.. why doo decided these wires of all the wires they use needed to be zipped tied down

At first it was doing it intermittent and then it was to the point I couldn’t keep it running.. did throw and engine light but the only way to see the codes was to hook it up to the CanDoo reader
Interesting

OMG.....Plug wires.....Facepalm*****
I keep a spare one in the seat now - I never had one partially sh*t the bed - mine broke at the boot but was fine until it broke in two - jammed haywire in it and taped it up - they aren't the tuffest design

yea i told them to start with the easy stuff but i dont think they believed me that it could be something that simple LOL. Oh welll, the engine compression was low when we checked so its not a bad thing i did the motor. and the rest of the parts we swapped came from a dead parts sled the owner has so didnt cost anything. lesson learned. Keep it simple stupid
