Who runs wearbars? Any negatives with them. Tired of carbide ripping the crap out of everything

We make them ourselves. 3/8” square for the Gripper skis. Bend, weld the studs to em and weld a “wear” strip where the carbide usually is. Worked really well so far.

Swear by them, switched years ago. Don't buy the wear bars from skidoo they are not hard welds and wear super quick. Get the woody's hard welds. Mac's machine stocks them.

I grind the sharp edges off the carbide runners and run them till they wear out then replace with regular wearbars. I run a quick pass of hard surfacing on the new wearbars before installing them.

Yes I've run them, they work ok, I buy the cheap wear bars and run a pass of arctec hardcro hard surfacing rod, it will outlast them 3-4 to 1.

In them hills.
Love the wear bars.
No need for carbides.

Easier on the deck, trailer and garage floor.
