A company that doesn’t ride and test in your area.

Example-A company located in flatland Wisconsin won’t test or ride much/if any amount of time in Valemount, Revy, Mcbride etc. But they will sell you a mountain clutch kit. How can this ever work? I know right? It can’t.

The clutch kit seller should ask some info b4 they ship a kit out. Rider weight, track length, type of riding. If they don’t ask those questions, it is likely you will end up with a $500 pile of useless parts and be sexually frustrated.

Some locations are Bikeman-Wisconsin, Speedwerx-Minnesota, Bdx/Ssi-Minnesota.

With clutch kits, customer service and knowledge is where it’s at. In no particular order, Mds is super knowledgeable and has a money back guarantee. Dynamo Joe lives eats and breathes Doo clutching and Aps is obsessed with clutching/testing as well.

I hope this will save some members some headaches and some cake.

It wouldn’t be fair to leave out Aps just because I might not like the owner. I like what he is doing with clutching. No one else is taking it as far in a short amount of time so it’s cool and exciting to watch the r & d and progression.

Any clutch kit In my opinion needs - R&D by the consumer - clutching is a cut & try procedure over and over again till it's dialed - talk to Dave Sebelius about clutching - he has a clutch patent from the 90's that is very close to the p- drive - I have learned to not listen to the makers of the clutch kits or to the turbo shops that tell you to run a brutally stiff primary spring and 20 something grams of pin weight (TRA3) - for the conditions I ride in and elevation etc a Doo 160/260 primary and 14.5 gram pin weight is on point - the light pin weight is due to the 2mm oversized rollers because they are also heavy on their own - also don't listen to anyone that tells you to not put the oversized rollers in a tra clutch - for boosted anyways - whenever I do the opposite of what the oh so wise people tell me it usually works out great for me

negative. Absolute powersport (auto correct always corrects to two words)

dragonweld (Ben’s) company. He was the first to build a monorail poo... but also has his hands on a bunch of the quick moving iron on the hill. Niners alpha has had many of APS’s upgrades and I would guess from maxwells previous message that they are on the same team as well. Every AXYS requires APS’s clutching and they seem to play with all of the top brands. Chrisco has also been known to play with them so the information and knowledge of the iron they all play with is pure gold. Top notch stuff from a local crew, very nice to see.

Gotcha - clutching is a science for sure - I love it when people do crazy mods that work good - my airbox mod is a game changer - I bet the monorail poo is pretty sweet - I wish I had bottomless pockets because I would try to build some gnarly sh*t - I've got a fantastic idea for a snowbike that I would love to build but don't have the capital - last year there was 1 day at Renshaw I had my Tra 3 apart 6 times in the staging area - cut and try - cut and try - cut and try
