Looking online you can build a 155 with the turbo. 2.6 or 3 inch paddle track options. Anybody given either of these sleds some thought? I’m thinking it could be a really fun sled and with the extra power I don’t see the shorter track limiting a guy too much.

Side note: I’ve got a Polaris Axys 174 for sale in classifieds. Motivated seller. Want to pickup one of these things either 155 or 165!!!

ive been eying up the 154x2.5 turbo freeride. Track speed would be insane. That being said in my old age a 3" is probably the best bet.

I have been saying the 154x2.5 turbo is going to be a high selling sled. with lockout shocks now make the 154 a more all around sled and no more 3" track pains. probably would spin instead of wheelie like a 3"?

the 2.5" tracks work surprisingly well. Less forgiving but in good snow the extra track speed im finding it works just as good as the 3". Until your moving slow

Yeah reading about the turbo sleds and it seems 2.8’ is the money ticket. I guess a guy could swap out either track. I’d rather just get it right right off the bat. Really wish I could have tried one of these out this year as I think the 155 could be the funnest option of them all.... Especially on the average snow days!

The NA 850's really didn't have enough power to spin the 3" track in deep snow and is probably why some guys went with shorter lugs. I think most people would be happy with the way the turbo can spin the 3" lugs.

Old debate about 3 inch tracks . Lol
The 2.5 or 2.8 is the best all around track hands down . IMO
Have had both and prefer the 2.5 for 80% of riding so that’s good enough .

have to keep it pinned every where and go through motors like crazy.

that's my findings anyways. next sled will have a 3inch track for sure

You have tried a 2.5” lug with a 3.5” pitch?

no and I won't bother unless someone were to give a me a sled with one for free. won't be buying a mountain sled with out a 3inch ever again.

shorty's are fun, but not for pow riding.

The 175’s for sure could be 2.5 for 95% of the riding .
If you ride deep powder all the time and short trails to the alpine ?
3 inch makes sense . IMO

That 3.5” pitch is amazing. I would compare it to the old 3” since some pros are comparing the 165 3” to the same traction of the 174 3” with the 3” pitch lug.

Im seriously considering a 2.5” for my next sled especially since I believe it will be more durable. I think Maxwell has been on a 2.5” for two seasons now. Ive been following his opinions of it.
The 3” doo track is the best/worst track ive had. Gorilla glue works great repairing damaged lugs.
