Can you tighten the limiter strap up a bit to stop it from trenching in deep powder?

Best way to fix that is to buy a different track, Polaris = terrible tracks. You would think with all the big shots they have signed and have on the team including the almighty Burandt they would of had a decent track offering from factory by now

Wasn’t real impressed in deep snow tree riding in Revy thinking of drilling a tighter setting to find a happy medium

It’s really quick to react, like it the sleds fun for sure they just need to be tightened up in bottomless powder

Tightened it up and it reacts more like a Pro in the floatation snow

Holy man is it ever quick to react hahaha! I'm digging the Khaos, but really noticed that after spending 2 season's on 174's, and last year on a 163, I've gotten to be a bit of a lazy old fart. My Khaos and I had a bit of a rodeo at first last week, then I realized how much I was over riding the machine. It's super reactive, and agile. I dig it!
Do you really think that Burandt rides a completely stock set up Polaris!

I know he doesnt, I dont live under a rock and I do realize that. I never said Burandts sleds suck and trench all day, all I was referring to was stock polaris sleds which arent even close to Burandts sleds. But you would think with the help of their impressive team of pros that they might have designed something better than the crap tracks they currently come with. It would be one less thing to modify for all their riders as most of them swap out the factory track and put on aftermarket or even cat tracks. You dont see Doo and Cat team riders changing tracks out for aftermarket offerings and if you do they are few and far between

On some sleds he does but most of his personal sleds or builds he does for customers get the 2.8" camso conquer track I believe

Chris likes the Polaris 2.6” track. He’s not a fan the polaris 3” or the conquer 2.8”. What beef are you guys having with the 2.6”? Besides some of the premature wear issues on the earlier ones I always thought they were a versatile track?

The Polaris tracks slip a bit which is good to initiate the transition to one ski. This is a good thing for handling but not ideal for deep snow traction. That said, they rely on light weight and high track speed. They would be better to go to a 3.5" pitch to lighten more and a bit softer lug design. The 3" actually is pretty good in the 174 " but not in the 155 or 163 as it is a trencher in those lengths.

I for one like the Polaris tracks. They are stiff when new but after a few hundred km break in and the lugs fold over nicely. The 2.4 was a great track during its time, the 2.6 even better. I am not a fan of the Polaris 3”. Even in the 174 it works okay and suits that track length but it’s not for me.
Burandt has gone on record to say he likes the 2.6. That’s one guys paid opinion. He has also said he doesn’t like the camso 2.8. Don’t blame him.
Yes there are other tracks out there that work better for different people. Some guys can’t ride without a turbo either.
I still need to try one of these Khaos. Anyone know of a place that has a rental? Everyone seems to just have standard Pros.

Yes they are pretty tough too. Since they are now clipped properly they hold up pretty well.
