Echo Cycle was always the face at the Edmonton show. Unfortunately things are what they are. None of the remaining Arctic Cat dealers in Edmonton have grabbed that torch and I’m sure they have their reasons why. I agree that they need to support this industry, the people in it and the users. Maybe they are doing it in another way?

In them hills.
Cat must be doing some major restructuring, or else they are biting the hand that feeds them in my opinion. To drop support of organized snowmobiling in BC, but for a few individual stand up Cat dealers was pretty disappointing. Especially in times like these with so many impending closures on the horizon, you'd think they'd be behind the user groups that buy their products like Doo, Yamaha and Polaris are continuing to do. Those three are even amping up their support, while Cat is MIA. Not cool.
Defiantly not cool.

Seems to be a tough go for dealers out there, have defiantly lost a bunch of all brands.

Yes I was going to buy a buddy out in Dewinton and open a Cat Dealership ........Kinda like trucking ." How do you make a million in the trucking business " ? Start with 2 million !

That is bad math isn't it ??

Cat was a small part of Echos business from what i heard. Bikes was their big business. If i recall, the owner just didn't want to do it anymore, but don't hold me to that.

Bos suprised me. We swung by there after the sled show. Hadn't heard the news before that.

i dealt with Echo for a lot of years. There were some really great people there. It’s unfortunate to see any business close.

looking at Echo's website...they are no longer closing. But they are no longer selling any new equipment....no longer a dealer for Cat, etc....only used, consignments and service shop. Looking to relocate out of their new building to a smaller setup

Interesting. They had a massive auction back in June. Must've raised enough capital to keep on going in a new direction
