I was looking at the “2020 g4 deep snow” manual and came across this on page 229.

I wonder how this will play out on deep days and longer climbs.

Wtf?? There is no sensor on belt heat?

I did some more reading and I am not the first one to stumble onto it this week. I just found this on another forum....

I wonder who’s bright idea this was!

Kanedog 2015-2019, thanks for the good times S&M!
Bahahahahahahahabahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. I almost wobbled right off my chair!
First ever engine in the world to come with a warning system for sustained full throttle operation. Big cover up for for a plethora of other issues. Smh. Hurry up on the new chassis and get this G4 bad dream overwith.

Seen that awhile ago, wondering what models its on and if its activated at the factory.

Were you reading your manual on your new sled? If so congrats on your new whip.

No i didn’t buy a new whip, I was thinking about trading in the BB for an G4 in season model. But I stumbled upon this looking for the display changes from ‘19 - ‘20. After seeing this I think I may wait another year.

I’m still really happy with the XM and the motor, just kinda wish I had a 3”” inch after renting a G4 3”” inch last year.

Did the 19 G4’s have issues with belts? I thought that had actually got better. I’ve been on two brands in the last year and can say the stock cat clutching is coolest I’ve seen. I had to remove shims on my Yamaha play with helix twist and the clutching was still warm. I know I have seen some 17 and 18’s with crazy hot clutching.

Nice! Did you get your BB back? Or is it another one?
How have you been? I hope all is well?

I wouldn’t be afraid to get a G4. Im very happy with my 19. My buddy has 1000km on his 19 850 turbo using a 391 belt, no belt problems.
I have only 500km have no problem with belt heat or belts. Im running the 571.

Im puzzled why do put that on the 2020 tho.

I spent some time and tracked down my old sled, bought it back and fixed it up. Things have been ok, getting a little easier. I’m looking forward to the coming season.
