You must be drunk. I had an 2001 Summit 700 ZX 144" Sold it at 5600ish kms. All I ever did to that machine was put oil and gas in it along with one belt over the life that I owned it. Buddy that I rode with at the time bought a 2001 RMK 700. I don't even know what cat had at the time for comparison. ( Thats about how memorable they were). We rode everywere together, Lake, trails and mountains. Hands down the summit outperformed the RMK along while being a more enjoyable and refined machine to ride. From new the poo had a vibration in it until he sold it. Never got any better or worse. Cracks in the hood, belt guard and in some parts of the bulk head began to appear over time. With the same mileage on it everything was worn out on the poo and required some attention to make it reliable again. The Doo on the other hand was good to go, just like the day I got it.

Nope not drunk, I got over my doolaide addiction. Never had a 2001 700 , I was referring to 800 . I did have a 2000 , 700 , 136 which I changed to a 151, and it still was a tank . Had it one season , couldn’t wait to get rid of that thing , bought a 2001 800 RMK, great machine. Rode for it 3 seasons , with lots of 2001-2002 800 ZX 800’s , the RMK was head and shoulders better than the Doo. Then bought a 2004 Rev, made bothe the ZX and the RMK seem like a tank .

All 3 brands have their problems. Especially the ones built on Monday mornings and Friday afternoons.

....and any Johnny rode for more than a day. You sure went through some sleds in those days. Actually except your 700 RMK, it kept going, and going and going.

Well.... it's beginning to be that time of year again.

No it's August, the beginning.
There should be a courtesy No Stupid Rule till at least November 1 yearly after the summer break.

Kanedog 2015-2019, thanks for the good times S&M!
But I miss the sled banter already.....
I know right? We need to establish blind brand loyalty and our views of the sledding world early season. Kinda like a early snow check for opinions.
I’ll start-
1. Loyal Skidoo owners are dumb and Brp itself builds junk products.

ps-I gotta my get Brp jokes in now as they may come out with a kick ass sled in the next few years. At that time, if necessary, I will change my support to Brp.

Good one. I like it!! Ok Ok my turn, Arctic cat riders also are not only of lower intellect but sleep with their sisters. Especially the ugly ones! True story.

I think the August delivery clearly demonstrates that arctic cat builds a better snowmobile

i agree they all 3 brands (or maybe all 4?) have their problems.....but lately, it seems most issues (failures and warranty woes) seem to be on the brand names that include the letters B, R, & P.

lol

I also remember a year that cat could not keep belts on their sled. I think it was the same year the cats didnt come with clutches installed, If I remember right.

Nothing wrong with my 19 doo, wicked sled.

Arctic cat should bring back their tiger shark PWC. It was such a hit the first time....With all the money they waisted on that failed experiment,(Polaris even had better success then Cat which isn't saying much with their POS designs) Had they just focused on sleds they may have had something people wanted today.....
