Huh. I honestly didn't think they'd get this close to a real deal machine. Obviously there are a lot of problems here (suspension travel numbers are a bit short I think, range is not super amazing) but for a first generation it's not horrible. That said, I'm glad they dropped the goofy linkage suspension and stuck with normal a-arms and stuff.
Compared to that Nikola sxs, they even kept the price within ballpark of realistic. Still expensive and definitely for a certain subset of early adopter types.

But, that said, still want to see the real-world "middle of January, 4 feet of powder and 20below" review.

This is one application I can understand for a electric vehicle actually. For all the male riders out there who like their wives to go with them on a ride, think about this: no smoke, no smell, low noise level and less vibration. All things my wife has said she could do without. I like a lot of the programmable features they have for the keys and power delivery also. Three big draw backs for me, and they are big ones,1-Range, 2-Weight and 3-Cost.But everything that is supposed to save the environment cost extra. I hope Taiga makes a trip to the Albert Snowmobile Show this year so we can all have a closer look.

I read the write up, love the fact it doesn't`t have a transmission...no more transmission problems on the hill, like with the gas powered ones, lol.

Might be kinda cool. These are certainly G4 looking sleds, is this project backed or funded by BRP ??
Sorta hard to imagine 3 university students have got this far on their own , or were able to get a bank or private investor to lend the kind of capital this would need.

Will be interesting what replacement motors and batteries will be. If/when my turbo pro engine blows again it’s going electric.

Yes I do! How many sledders on here call their clutches 'TRANSMISSIONS'

True but you got to think about the people designing that sled. They’re probably a lot smarter then the average sledder and I bet they called it by the proper name CVT transmission.

I would be divorced if my wife ever spoke filth to me about not liking the smell of a 2 stroke. And I know she digs the vibrations!!
