Anyone have any recommendations on where I could take an 800 ptec engine core Calgary area preferred. I have it on kijiji but no takers and am getting tired of staring at it in the garage. Or if someone on here wants it let me know.

I removed the stator to sell separately. It's just the cases, cylinders and the crank no head.

Hey Giver8, If those parts are not wrecked,ie: case not blown out bottom of con rod and cylinders not scored, I would gladly pay shipping to Kamloops, I rebuild a lot of these motors for guys and if their cores are shot they become an expensive repair worth more than the sled they have them in. I would in turn donate them n/c to someone. If you needed some shock servicing I could do for u n/c.

Cylinders are scored. The cases look good. One connecting rod bearing is binding and the runout is way out of spec. I'm sure there is an engine builder somewhere that would take it and refurbish it just don't know who.

07 & 08 are different bottom end if I remember correctly (different mount plate), a high percentage of these motors went down with big end rod failure which in turn pushes thrust washers and bearing pieces through bottom of case. You need to pull bottom mount plate off to see this or open up case. Also there is a crank update (different stub and timing key location) between 09 & 10 if I remember correctly.

yeah, I know. not real interesting in rebuilding it as it has sat for years. Got an '09 BB and a '15 174 turbo that keeps me occupied and busy wrenching as it is.
