You got be kidding me. It's a friggin straw. Ask for a sippy cup if you're worried about spilling your drink. Don't fret we put a man on the moon in the 60s, we will have a very good biodegradable straw very soon.

The straw thing was getting out of hand. Straws in orange juice, milk, water, rum and coke, straws in every thing! When I see a dude drinking from a straw in a bar I feel like kicking him in the nuts and telling him that straws are for girls who don't want to mess their lipstick. I won't be missing wing night at Boston Pizza over a frigging straw any time soon.

I find it a bunch of BS. Just like Canada's air pollution. How many of our friggin' straws end up in the ocean? That is what this is all about; plastics in the oceans.
The left leaning leaf lickers are so out to lunch that I am sure they all have their heads in the sand and don't know how nor do they want to take them out. Sort of like screwing in the wrong hole......just phucking stupidity.

Friends just did an India cruise. They said India is the most disgusting place they have ever been in all their world travels. Garbage, plastic you name it on the streets and floating in the ocean. But once again the western nations are the ones forcing us to pick up the slack. I'm getting awful tired of the whole climate change, political correctness movement. Most people in the west pick up after themselves. Maybe those other countries should try it as well.

I don't get it. Some real pigs out there. The side of our McDonald's drive through looks disgusting. People horking out luugies and spitting them against the wall.

Leonard, it isn't Tim's! It's the state of society today and the me generation. BC blocking pipelines, pricks not buying trail passes, keyboard jockeys of all stripes, political correctness, fake news, Shannon Phillips, media and their agenda, and I could go on and on. I agree people are pigs but don't blame a solid corporate company.

We're hoping if we can import enough immigrants we can make Canada just like their homeland. Won't it be great!

Pretty much exactly what everyone said was gonna happen. Not only Tim Horton’s, a whole lot if other corps and industries did the same. Was really government /union interference , and as usual , wasn’t thought thru.

And IMHO, that is the left thinking that the wages at service jobs should be family supporting jobs. There is no way in hell and there never was a service job that would support a family. They were intended as second incomes and student jobs. Once again, the middle class is paying the way for a lot more people to have higher wages.

I'm not sure how I feel about new straws.

They're not new. Plastic straws are new....relatively speaking. Paper straws were all we had when I was a kid. They were horrible then, and they're horrible now. What's next? Go back to the paper bags we used to have that tore apart half way to the garbage can?

For those that don't like straws, please tell me how are you going to get a thick, creamy, flavourful milkshake from Peter's Drive-in down. I suppose you could use a spoon if there were no straws.

Paper straws aren't gonna work and even the fatter plastic straw are a struggle.
