Only Brp could brag about investing 118million in it’s factory but then six months later deliver incomplete sleds and a back order of motors. Bahahahahaha.

I’d put my money down on absolutely no changes. Factory cat pics show same chassis. Maybe Doo will have JD green to match its MF red.

That's the one, short lug track on it but If it's legit I'm sure it would be offered on mountain sleds as well

I am no expert on the 1049 and maybe just blowing smoke here but I'd like to see yamaha use solenoids to have complete control of opening and closing of exhaust and intake valves instead of camshafts, would have complete variable valve timing and make some more power, but also should be technically able to spin the engine backwards for reverse like a 2-stroke and possibly shave some weight. would probably need an electric oil pump and some other changes to make it work.

I love this post, it would be a dream come true. If anyone can do this reliably Yamaha can.
No cam, no timing chain, no gears and capability to run backwards all in an unbeatable 4stroke package.
Its completely doable.
The only addition to your post is the 1049 is no longer, was replaced with the new 998.
