Looking for better ways to bring camera gear up on sled, liked the mountain addiction but heard stuff falls off easily. Looking for any other input.

I thought I had a few pictures of a pelican case type of waterproof case with foam packing inside of it, with a frame attached to it that was able to utilize the linq system, but I cannot find that picture In the depths of my phone.

I would think lilduke, and throttle opps will chime in with their solution as both spend many of days on the hills every season.

I ride with ThrottleOps, his is bolted directly to his tunnel. Which is the most cost effective and safest. But I want the ability to remove it from my tunnel.

I have a pelican case and I usually just strapped it to the tunnel but I’m over fumbling with ratchet straps. I want to be able to easily bring my tripod as well.

If you find that case let me know.

Check out white out technolagies, couple linq adapotors and away ya go

I built a rack to help accommodate my luggage, and to also space everything up to prevent it from rubbing the paint off the tunnel. I needed to get my bag moved back on top of the tail light to be able to fit my lunch box, fuel can, and a bag. I’ve added eyelets along it and can strap my powder surfer or a snowboard onto real quick and secure. Accessories attach to rack with quick connectors and rack attaches to sled easy too. Mines to poo so lock and ride clips. Could have sub in a pelican easy instead of something else. But I’m a bit limited for space with a shorty 155! It’s been out on a few trips so far and working good. I have a couple finishing touches then I’ll get it powder coated.

I would stay away from the mtn addiction gear bag, had them and always seemed to blowout the zippers, and shovel handle holder, went thru a couple replacement bags etc, cost me a couple shovel handles, lunches and extras too.. that being said, I have been using the mtn addiction gas cans for years and no issues ever.. last couple years have had a pelician case with a base mounted for sliding onto the mtn addiction rails and it rules.., solid, strong, waterproof and zero issues, if you can get your hands on a base that'll mount to a pelican case that'd be the way to go for camera gear, imo!

Did a search and seen someone on here was making bases for them a few years back. Looks like he sold them all. But that would be the route I’d want to take. Nothing sticking off the sides. Easily removes, nothing touching the tunnel, and can swap it around easily.

I don't have it any more, but I blew out the bottom of a pelican case hard mounting it like that, I think a roll cracked it and then a whack in the bushes did the final rip. I wasn't doing anything fancy with addiction rails or linq, just carriage bolts and wing nuts with washers inside.

My next one I went to the rubber sled hood mounts like what was used on sleds of yore. Worked great, quick and easy, still secure but I figured the rubber should give better in the case of a hit. I don't think I even have a picture of it, but it was one on each side. Had a rubber mat stuck to the tunnel so it didn't move.

Take this with a grain of salt though... pretty sure I never owned an authentic pelican case, not sure how cheap the cheap knock off was in comparison... :p
