Anyone in the Edmonton area who can program baofeng radio.

Your frequency will be 462.6375 and your ctcss will be 167.9. If you have a programming cable and know how to use chirp it is easier than manually programming. If you want to add it in manually do this.
-Press the vfo/mr button to get to frequency mode
-enter 462.6375
-Hit menu
-Up or down arrow until you reach T-CTCS
- press menu
-up arrow until you get to 167.9
- press menu then exit.
If you want to save this channel
-Press menu
-up arrow until you reach MEM-CH
-press menu
- up or down arrow until you reach the channel you want to save it in ( 1-127)
- press menu and then exit.

I have a UV-6 model so don't have any menu options just on / off and channel selector. Is the only way to do it with a cord then?

Ross Brochu in leduc sells and programs them. I saw his ad on a buy/sell group on crackbook. If you have access to a radio that is already programmed you can just clone it. You will need the cable mentioned earlier to do it.

No radio to clone. I'm the 1st in the group to try on the Baofeng.

This guys has a hard time returning any info,.. I want to buy 3 radios so I am going to look elsewhere.
