Hi guys so I’ve been searching for a place to order a rollover valve kit for my 2013 Arctic Cat M1100 turbo but cannot find anywhere to order one. I e mailed four stroke solutions and my local dealership and I’ve tried many other sites I cannot find anywhere to actually order one. I have a tether installed already but not an actual roll over valve kit! Also an opinion on cold air intake and where to order one from would be great. HELP!!

It's a dry sump system. Should not be necessary. Unless you plan on having your sled upside down for extended periods. Use a tether that will shut off the motor. If your going with an aftermarket intake, then the ROV is even less important. Never had an issue with my 1100 turbo. I run an aftermarket intake and it utilizes a small K&N filter on the CCV hose. Never have I seen any oil even on that little filter. Guys jumped on ROV's in 12 and 13, but you didn;t here much after that. I think many figured out it is not absolutely necessary. Cat had even made a statement that they were rolling the sleds in testing without issue.

I never ran one on my 1100 as there were issues of them failing while climbing, or just simply failing and having to pull the sled apart in the hill to disconnect it. I ran without it. I rolled my sled (one quick barrel roll) and the mess it made was beyond. Took almost 1.5 hours to clean the oil off of everything just so I could ride it again. After that, I ran the vent hose out between the chaincase and foot well so next time I had to roll it over the mess was going not under the hood. Only lost 120ml of oil approximately bit the mess was beyond.

I was thinking about this last night. Where did the oil come from? If you are running the stock air intake, the oil should have stayed in the intake and soaked the filter, not splashed all over the engine. Right?

Nothing was stock on it lol. The breather hose had a k&n style filter in the end. I like the through the hood air intake. The stock air intake would still fill up with oil i’d think. The hose originally ran into the end of the filter housing instead of atmosphere so I’m thinking instead of it pissing under the hood everywhere like mine did it’ll just piss inside the housing?

This I why I run one. Even if it fails it won’t stop oil from getting to the engine. The valve itself is only prevents loosing oil from the breather line that goes to the intake.

You are correct, but if it kills the engine while climbing and your sled tumbles down end over end you could have some serious damage. Or it could leave you having to get towed out if you don’t know how to disconnect it. Pros and cons like everything.

Interesting. I run the through the hood intake and small K&N as well, but angle the hose upwards so if any oil gets into the line, once righted it all flows back down. No oil, not even a drop, to date.

I have had it for five years now and never had a issue. It’s based off a tether so the only way the engine would die would be if the tether is pulled. If your implying electrical failure of the rollover controller then you might as well say that any electrical part on any sled could fail while climbing and have the same out come. That being said they are very easy to disconnect as well. So I don’t see the issue that being put forth at least with the four stroke solution kit I have. I can not speak for any other kit though.
