Kanedog 2015-2019, thanks for the good times S&M!
1/4" wide every 60 degrees. Good for low end and low midrange. Google "somminder singh grooves" for technical explanation.
It improved my Polaris 800 turbo low end.

Would you have to add a thinner base gasket or alter your dome design to account for the extra volume added? Just doing some quick math.....if each groove were 1/4 deep x 1/2 long times 6 of them, you would have an additional .1875 cubic inches or 3 cubic centimeters. My math must be wrong somewhere though. That sure doesnt look like an additional 3 cc's. Only problem with less base gasket is you are going to have a super tight squish area, but maybe these grooves balance that?

These grooves are pretty interesting, I researched this Somminder Singh fellow and there is lots to read but tough to find hard data on the benefits. Certainly the theory makes sense though, ie: additional turbulence of the charge mixture and better burn. I agree with Deaner in that you probably want to look into bringing the overall chamber volume back to original so that you have the same original compression ratio. If you get more accurate info on the groove shape (V-shape or round - hard to tell from the pics) and dimensions its relatively simple to verify the volume that the grooves have added.

I guess it kind of depends on your intent with this mod. If you're trying to do a straight apples to apples comparison of the benefit of the grooves then the compression ratio should probably be brought back to original while maintaining the original squish band clearance. It's obviously a bit of work to do this however.
