Kanedog 2015-2019, thanks for the good times S&M!
problem-Losing rpm@wfo. Clutches not back shifting at wfo, dragging rpm down and causing trackspin.
Solution-
Good-Drop 2 teeth on top or add 4 teeth on bottom. This is hard to do on a Polaris due to parts availability but any gear down from stock will benefit with better performance and cooler clutches.
Better-In addition to above, Rebuild clutch primary and secondary clutches, new springs and install Thunder products 911 primary clutch cover.
Best-In addition to above, Slp pipe set. Use polaris stock weights and use Slp 140/320. Sell weights that come with kit.
comments-This sled runs really nice. Unless you really need more, I would just do regular maintenance and ride!
Here's my most current one, almost 3 years old now. I hardly take out my gopro anymore.

I don't own this sled anymore. It was bone stock, i cleaned the clutches once in 2000 miles. haha My father in law has the SLP set up on his Axys and it certainly gives them a nice boost.

Problem-Dropping rpm a bit @wfo.
Solution-
Good-Drop one tooth on top or add 2 on bottom.
Better-in addition to above, rebuild clutches
Best-all of the above, install old school cat clutch if it doesn't already have one.
comments-This sled chews great! Notice the difference in throttle response between this crisp running sled sounds(braaap, braaap) and the how the new sleds sound (bawaah, bawaah). Whoever wrenched on this sled knew what they were doing. Nice!
Old but gold. Let's hear some tips for riding these bath tubs. haha

Problem-Searing clutch heat, uncontrollable wheelies affecting boondocking ability, drivers spinning on shaft, driveshaft gets dented, geared too high, chaincase expands when hot and stretches the chain causing chain snappage, engines last 2-3000kms, poor factory support, have to "start a case" to get any major warranty work covered.
Solution-
Good-upon delivery, change gears to 19/53.
Better-put a cooker can on it for warm food.
Best-Steer clear, patiently wait for a new Doo platform.
Comments- Doo does have some good products tho. Just not the g4. No biggie. Come on snow!

Problem-A bit lazy low throttle response for low speed tree riding, sled is factory geared for highways instead of for low speed maneuvering, front and rear suspension not absorbing bumps causing loss of momentum and loss of traction.
Solution-
Good-Drop one tooth on top or add 2 on bottom.
Better-In addition to above, rebuild clutches, change primary and secondary springs, install Thunder products 911 cover.
Best-All of the above and add a belt drive but experiment with lighter springs and lighter weights for more crisp low end throttle response(On my turbo pro I run 62gram weights with a 55/160 aaen green spring-8200rpm), if available do Paragon secondary with a 55/61 turbo helix, Racers Edge rear suspension to control the 'pop up" effect when hitting deep holes or terrain, raptor shocks or Elka 5 all around, longer track for better flotation(drop two top teeth or add four bottom teeth for a longer track). A winning lottery ticket is required for some of the above.
Comments-Engine runs clean, sounds smooth and it is setup well. As it sits, it's about as close to perfect as one can get without spending a bunch of effort, time and money. As for beating Maxwell, his sled needs some loving so you will beat him no problem at this point in time. If he beats you, take him to some deep and steep hills and race him 3 times but let him win on purpose. His clutches will overheat and the sled will lose power. Then you can make your move and beat him. Clutch guys racing tip-Let the other sled heat up his belt and clutches and then race him with your cold clutches. Always race for beer when winning is a sure thing.

Help me get to 70 mph. I want to keep up with maxwell if we ride together this winter.

i just learned something-When the midrange and backshift are lazy and sled loses rpm wfo, that can indicates dirty/worn clutches. Thx lilduke!
Thanks for the tips. I don't have that sled any more, but it was geared down 2 teeth from stock. Going down 2 more to 17tooth might have worked real good in those conditions. Would have been cool to try.
It also had the skidoo race hood. And some other stuff done.

Clutchs were most likely pretty dirty though haha
T3's work pretty good in deep snow.

Probably end up getting a 850 though.

Post a vid of 30 seconds or so of you riding your sled in your favorite terrain. I will watch it and give you tips on how to get your sled to work better and beat your buddies.
I have nothing to sell and I try to recommend parts that I have personally tried or my friends have tried.
It will be fun, educational and I won't be mean, I promise.
It will keep us busy till the snow flies!

thread deserved some rep...hit ya up.

I think you got s few things right. But already has a 174 X3, stock belt drive geared down with seven tooth drivers, has a baker skid, stock shocks with raptor springs. Going to try lighter springs and different weights this winter.
