Hey guys

I replaced the pinion gear for my starter on a 2013 rmk pro. Now it seems as though the pinion gear doesn’t fit in the ring gear and it won’t turn the clutch fast enough to start the sled, nor will it disengage afterwards. Anybody have this happen to them before?

Does the new gear have the same number of teeth?

Take the ground off the frame and clean it off. The bolt most likely has corrosion on the underside. After it’s clean use some electrical grease so it doesn’t corrode again. Make sure your battery is fully charged as well. Good luck!
