4 stroke or nothing, a thread where you will find a group of sledders with a collective interest in 4 stroke snowmobiles.
Picture's, tech talk, mods, new model's, newest technology, ride reports, help needed, organized 4 stroke rides and general 4 stroke chat.
Yamaha, Arctic Cat, Polaris, Ski-doo, if its 4 stroke, its cool.
This is the place 4 stroke riders can help other 4 stroke riders.
As 4 strokes are gaining in popularity, help me make this thread one of the most informative friendly thread on S&M.

HI, i'm Lund and i have been sledding since the 70's. 2 strokes of all types from twins to triples. Now i'm riding 4 strokes, since 2010 and it has opened new doors, given me a whole new experience and opened my eyes to a whole new perspective on snowmobiling. In my case mountain riding.
Hope to chat and meet others with same interest.

I'm on a Yamaha Sidewinder.

Chad at CR called me, he has made these new tunnel reinforcement bracing for the SW, Viper and King Cat tunnels.
Currently he has made two set's for the 174, one set for Climax Winder and a set for me. If your running a 174 you have probably noticed that the tunnel is fairly flimsy and it is IMO. The reinforcement kit is highly recommended and will be made available for the 174's.

should be a good thread, thanks. i ran these brackets last year on my 174, top notch. Climax has the rolled tunnel so dont think he would run these brackets, but been wrong before.
these stifteners are great for the 162 stock tunnel i believe

Yes, i also have the rolled tunnel on mine. We are cutting the roll off and then mounting the braces on, they were in the process of doing Climax and mine are at the powder coater's, should have them this week.

I still miss the old girl. This was the best machine I ever built and ran the most consistent by far. Her twin is still in the family. Runs 230hp on pump gas all day and now has a bit more than 15,500 miles on it.

He was waiting for the brace coming back from powder coat guys and was going to get yours done.
I was out there couple weeks ago, I suspect it’s done.

I almost bought an XR1200, but ended up with a Nytro instead. I hear they still dominate in the east.
I have seen a few over the years in Revy but only a few.
CR built one for Darrick Bannister owner Banner, the BRP dealer in Kelowna. My understanding is it ripped but was very $$$$ to build.

have my Nytro, maybe a Sidewinder next year if I like the colors more. I have a 2 smoke also but I find the 4-stroke to still be my favorite...nothing pulls like a boosted 4-stroke.

The big old kitty still running strong. Needs some updates like the 16’ front end. Was told it makes a huge difference for them.
