beer is far too important. i will turn up the boost

Sure boost will fix you up when you are riding meadows but tight trees at a 60 degree angle slope and you will never get the turbo spooled up. I'm thinking you should switch to a Yamaha. You would fit right in.

Boost works pretty good for burandt.... when was his last tree slayer stock bore or N/A?

Nope, we rode with him. That sled comes out for the photo shoot as it looks more impressive. He much ride a N/A when everybody else is.

I agree too that its silly spending big money to lose weight on your sled if you have easy weight to lose yourself. Plus its healthier and you feel better all the time. Does a person notice 5 or 10lbs on a sled? No, but there is something to be said about a sled when you get it near the 400lbs mark (dry). Like tethair said, its just a different experience IMHO

new years resolution was to lose 10 lbs this year....only have 14 more to go.....

I agree with Maxwell! Beer is far too important. As I resemble Doug's remarks as a 200+ pounder, it will be easier to just slip about 50 lbs of lead weights into Chris' backpack to make it a comparable experience! I find the extra ballast from my personal pony keg (my 18 year old has the six pack!) helps me to sidehill easily and pull the 175 over with ease... ha, ha! Next thing you know all these fly weight riders are going to be bulking up once they find out our Clydesdale riding secrets!

Jim, you are looking more trim these days so don't expect to out-weigh me much once I am on the 174 pig. Part of me is kicking myself for moving to a heavier sled this season. I need to put it on a diet the minute I get it.

Don't show the masses the gas tank! Its eliminates the need to carry gas on the tunnel and moves the weight further frwd. 13 gals where the 850 doo is 9.5. 800 etecs were 10.5. Visually seeing the fuel is orgasmic. 5 lbs lighter than stock.
Do not buy this. Bad idea. Leave it for Kanedog to buy.

I still don’t understand dry weight claims. Who gives a $hit. You’re not going to ride it dry. Full tank of gas ready to ride weights are the only ones that matter if anyone cares about weight at all.
If no one cares about weight why aren’t we all riding sidewinders then? Exactly. I don’t think people are making there purchases on weight differences anymore. People are buying on dealership loyalty and what feels comfortable.

I never did understand making a small tank and then carrying fuel on the tunnel.

But having said that.

Stock tank holds 47 liters.
And on deep days I still burn my extra 15 liters on my tunnel.

Small tanks get to sit an watch men burn fuel.

Yes and if you want to be fair on the weight difference on tank sizes take the full topped up tank wet weight.
Then take tank size and multiply by 2.2 and subtract form the wet weight and you will have the wet weight without gas.

That's not what I heard from a few guys who paid 3500$ for a weekend of stucks and watching him dangle lol... why would you ride stock if you had them in the garage? and which sled is "that sled"? looks like a bunch of turbo builds for sale with tiny aluminum gas tanks...

You ride tight tress on 60 degree slopes? That is crazy. Some of the steepest skies lines in Alaska are in the 50-60 range.
